Ingham is situated 110 kms north of Townsville and 240 kms south of Cairns along the Bruce Highway. Set in an area of sugar cane, bordered by waterfalls and adjacent the magnificent Hinchinbrook Island, Ingham is the commercial centre of the Hinchinbrook Region. With a population of approximately 12,000, Ingham is well serviced through Private Practice and through its new Public Hospital. If interested, visiting rights to the Hospital can be obtained.

Ingham offers a great climate to enjoy the wonderful natural habitat surrounding it. This includes the Great Barrier Reef, many National Parks, Wallaman Falls (Australia’s longest single drop waterfall) and Hinchinbrook Island (the world’s largest Island National Park). Ingham is a great place to live and a great place to raise a family. Added to this quality lifestyle is the fact that Townsville lies only 1 hr south bringing with it the city lifestyle – shopping, sporting facilities and a major airport.
